Assignment Submissionhttp://www.cblt.soton.ac.uk/submitIf you are not following a CBLT module you should not use this process.You should only use this process if you are a student following a CBLT.Your work should be submitted in web format (*.htm). You are required to submit all files relating to your work. Please note submitting a link to files hosted on a server elsewhere is not normally acceptable. You should submit a copy and retain at least two additional electronic copies as backups ideally stored on different systems. You should consult the Advanced Programmes for details about late submission penalties. Your work should present certain information at the top of your web format submission. An exemplar is available at: http://www.cblt.soton.ac.uk/submit/opening/ When your work is ready to submit there are two steps you must follow. 1. emailing your work 2. completing a submission form 1. emailing your workYou must formally submit your work as an attachment to soepgadm@soton.ac.uk and copy cbltwork@soton.ac.uk. There is a maximum limit of 1MB per assignment. Please consult your tutor if this poses a difficulty or restriction in your work. Your work should be emailed as an attachment according to the following template example: To: soepgadm@soton.ac.uk When you send your work the **subject line must include** (no quotation marks): "ASSIGNMENT Submitted by" and then your familyname and firstname. For example:
You are strongly advised to cc yourself in this e-mail - you are then able to check that the e-mail has been sent. Naming filesThe initial web file must be named index.htm All file names should be eight characters or less and in lower case with no gaps. All file suffixes must be in lower case. Please endeavour to name files to indicate their nature/content. For example, pic01.gif may more appropriately be named lrnlab01.gif (i.e. lrnlab01 = learning laboratory picture 1) An example minimal file submission would be: index.htm An example set of example files may be: index.htm (the
initial start file with Opening Information) Compressed (Zipped) Format for attachments Common errors include renaming of files and not adjusting hyperlink references; either using absolute web referencing or not or combining the two; not checking that hyperlinks function correctly; and forgetting to include all files. Functionality Testing You are strongly encouraged to use your University web space to test the functionality of your assignment. Normally each assignment and its supporting resources must not exceed 1.0 MB 2. completing a submission formThis process ensures that the receipt of an assignment is duly acknowledged and that the requirements of the School of Education are met. If there are any difficulties or issues arising then please inform your module tutor and the Postgraduate Office Assignment Submission It is essential that immediately after you have e-mailed your work you must alert us that you have attempted to submit your work. You will need to access an electronic version of the Assignment Cover Sheet (image shown below). You must complete the form according to the following principles:
